The Ruckazoid Demonstrating the Potential of The Controller1

FRESH!!

A lot of the scratch world has been waiting for the Ricci to do a real video showing the full potential of the Controller1. Finally the wait is finally over and it did not disappoint. As someone on the other video said "Audio-Coke."

The Opus

I was digging through my collection of mp3's and i found this free download, The Opus Moment 8 Live. It's a live mix from their older and newer releases.

The Opus is a production duo from Chicago consisting of The Isle of Weight and Mr. Echoes. The Opus did all the beats on, the now defunct, Rubberoom's debut album "Architechnology". After Rubberoom the duo went on to produce the album "First Contact 001" which featured Slug, Aesop Rock, Lumba, Murs, I Self Divine, and Thawfor. The album was half vocal and half instrumental. The duos second album, "Breathing Lessons", found The Opus not featuring any emcees, but focused on strictly beats. If you listen to this Interview you'll gain insight to their methods of production.

The most impressive thing about The Opus is their live performances. They usually have a large array of equipment, 2 MPC's, 2 kaos pads, asr-10 keyboard, mixers, and a gang of midi cables. The Opus mix in the same way a dj would mix beats, but instead of using records and beat matching they use midi to sync their different beats.

Here's another mp3 from their live performance on KVRX, it's the instrumental to Sector Rush Remix (Rebuilt)
